PRO Accounting is an accounting firm based in Košeca, Ilava district, in
western Slovakia. We have been in business since 2012 — fourteen years. We
keep single and double-entry books, run payroll, and represent clients before
the tax office, the Social Insurance Agency and the health insurers.

Who we work for

Our clients are sole traders, limited liability companies, non-profit
organisations and Slovak subsidiaries of foreign companies. By size they are
mostly small and medium businesses — from one-person trades to firms with
    several dozen employees.

The scope of your activity determines which type of bookkeeping is required
or more advantageous. A sole trader with lower income often manages with
single-entry, while a limited company must keep double-entry books by law.
We go through this at the first consultation, which is free and without
    commitment.

Single and double-entry bookkeeping

Single-entry bookkeeping suits sole traders and smaller
entities with no legal obligation to use double-entry. It covers the cash
journal, the register of receivables and payables, the asset register and the
annual tax return with statements of income and expenditure.

Double-entry bookkeeping is mandatory for companies. We
handle the full process including the general ledger, annual accounts, notes
and the corporate income tax return. For VAT payers we also prepare monthly
or quarterly returns, control statements and EC sales lists for trade within
    the European Union.

Payroll and HR administration

Payroll covers net pay, contributions and tax advances, employee registration
and deregistration, monthly filings for the Social Insurance Agency and health
insurers, annual tax settlement and pension insurance record sheets. On
termination we prepare the certificates and the employment record.

How we work

Taking over from a previous accountant usually takes two weeks. We review the
state of the books, take over open items and flag any discrepancies that
should be resolved before they surface during an audit.

Documents are collected in person or electronically. We deal with the
authorities using a qualified electronic signature, so you do not need to
attend when returns and filings are submitted. We answer enquiries within one
    working day.

We agree the price in advance based on the number of accounting entries and
employees. There is no minimum term — the engagement can end at the close of
    any month.

Where we operate

Our registered office is in Košeca and our office is in Červený Kameň.
In-person meetings and document collection are routine throughout the Ilava
    district and the surrounding area.

In the Trenčín Region we serve clients in Trenčín, Dubnica
nad Váhom, Ilava, Nová Dubnica, Púchov, Považská Bystrica and Košeca.

In the Žilina Region we work in Žilina, Bytča, Martin, Čadca
and Ružomberok. In the Bratislava Region we serve clients in
Bratislava, Pezinok, Senec, Malacky and Stupava — given the distance, work
    there is handled mainly electronically.

International clients

The Trenčín and Žilina regions host a large number of manufacturing
businesses with Austrian, German and Czech owners. We keep the books of their
Slovak subsidiaries under Slovak law while communicating with the parent
    company in its own language.

For these clients we also deal with matters that purely Slovak companies never
face — cross-border supplies of goods and services within the European Union,
EC sales lists, verification of VAT identification numbers in the VIES system,
and the recharging of costs between parent and subsidiary.

What matters to us

Accounting is above all about deadlines and accuracy. A missed deadline means
a penalty; an error in a return means a supplementary filing and late payment
interest. That is why we track the statutory deadlines for you and give
advance notice of what is coming.

It matters just as much that you understand your own numbers. Neither the
result nor the tax liability should come as a surprise at year end — we keep
you informed throughout on where the business stands and what it means for tax.
